Move between tables and try different games. Most people stay back after the event to chat, and that is usually the best part.

The Social Table is a community in Delhi that hosts board game events on weekends. People come alone or with friends, learn new games and meet new people. Once in a while we also try different kinds of events.
What can I do in Delhi on a weekend if I am bored?
If you like games and meeting people, you can join one of our board game events. We give you a seat at a table, a host who teaches the game, and a group of people who are also there to have a good time. Check the Events page for the next date.
How can I meet new people in Delhi?
Go to an event where everyone is there to meet people. Our board game events work like this. You play with different people at different tables, and the game gives you something to talk about, so it is easy to start.
Do I need to know how to play board games?
No. We explain the rules at the table before every game. Most of our games take less than 10 minutes to learn.
Can I come alone, or bring friends?
Yes to both. Most people come alone. You will be sitting with other people within a few minutes of reaching, so it does not feel awkward for long. If you are bringing friends, register everyone in your group.
How much does it cost?
Our recent events cost around ₹300 per person. The exact fee is on the event page. At some cafes, part of the fee can be used for food and drinks.
How long is an event?
An event runs for about 3 to 4 hours, usually in the afternoon on a weekend.
How many people come to an event?
Around 20 to 25 people come to each event. It is big enough to meet new people and small enough that everyone gets to play.
Where are your events held in Delhi?
We hold them at cafes and other places that are good for board games, with enough space and not too much noise. The venue changes, so please check the event page for the address, map link and nearest metro station.

What happens at an event

About The Social Table
The Social Table is a community in Delhi that hosts board game events on weekends. We started it because many people want to go out and meet new people, but do not know where to go.
Why we started
Most of us want to do something on weekends. But Delhi has so many options that it gets confusing, and going out alone makes it harder. When we try to make plans with friends, someone is always busy, and the plan keeps moving to next week.
So we decided to host the plan ourselves. We pick the place and the date, we bring the games, and people who have never met join in. You come, play a few games, and go home with a few new people to talk to.
What we do
Right now we host board game events in Delhi on weekends. We choose games that are easy to learn, explain the rules properly, and keep things relaxed so everyone can enjoy.
Once in a while we also try something different, like an experimental event. We share these on Instagram and WhatsApp first. We also organise private and corporate board game events for teams, birthdays and groups.
